ALARM BEEPING
If your alarm panel or keypad is beeping, try to reset it. Do not cut the cables.
Double check it is the alarm, and not anything else such as a carbon monoxide detector.
In most cases, the battery is failing and must be replaced. You cannot usually buy these batteries in a shop, they must be ordered; batteries and the power needed vary by system and we recommend contacting us for replacement.
ALARM BELL BOX SOUNDING
The system has been activated. This means one of the door contacts, detectors or panic alarm has been activated, or a tamper has been triggered. If there's no one snooping, there could have been a power cut and there is no battery back up or the battery has failed.
Depending of the issue, you may be able to resolve it by typing in the code and resetting. If not, the alarm will usually sound for 10-30 minutes.
Do not disconnect the mains to your alarm panel, as it will trigger the alarm to go off, as there is usually a battery back up in the bell box itself and will ring until the battery fails.
